Free koto concert featuring music from American kotoist and composer Josh Faber-Hammond (Portland, OR, USA). Josh is a first chair performer in the Oregon-based ensemble Oregon Koto-kai and has an extensive background as a multi-intrumentalist. During his residency in Japan, he is studying at the renowned Sawai Koto Institute in Tokyo and spending time composing for koto ensemble.

This performance will feature traditional and modern solo pieces, original works, and experimental improvisation. Special guest artist Abdel am Meer will provide live projections. Please join us for this rare event!
